It has rained all afternoon and the power went out so not much going on. Jeff went to work today so we can maybe make it back home now. He is building a barn. HaHa!

The boys went on a long ride last night and came back covered in mud and smiles from ear to ear. They had a blast. We made baby back ribs on the bbq. so good. Tonight we will be having stewed chicken and potato salad.

uh oh the $5 came out so he tried again and again but could never swallow it.

Last night we went to the Race track and watched sprint cars midget cars and others it was alot of fun we got Mississippi A/C when the cars went by at 100mph. Lots of women drivers and they all came in the top 4 of there heats. Crazy.

Today we all went to New Orleans. We went to the aquarium pretty cool Makailey petted a baby alligator. we then walked around the french quarters and had lunch all my kids tried crawfish and loved it. Jeff was grossed out. Maverick had alligator and was dared for $5 to eat an oyster. He had it in his mouth 5 times but just couldn't swallow. I can't believed he tried. HaHa We got Hurricanes on Bourbon street and then again on the way home at the drive-thru daiquiri shop. There is just something wrong with that.

When we got home the hen that made its nest in a tool box in the shed had finally hatched 1 of her babies she has 3 more to go. Makailey was so excited she did cartwheels. There is suppost to be a big storm coming in tomorrow so we plan on staying around the house and ride the bikes.

The pictures of the chickens is a little family they are so cute but dad is a teenager and dosen't have his big boy crow yet and sounds awful in the morning. If he didn't have a cute family he mght be for dinner.

Decided to do a little shooting last night and jeff's gun kicked back just a bit and wacked him in the face. He'll be o.k.

We went to Hammond La and Ponchatula today this is where Jeff and I spent our time The place with all the plants is jeffs old apartment. The red building is the old skate shop and the little white house is where i lived.

We have just been hanging out Fishing and riding. We went in the backwoods 2 nights ago right after it rained and had al ot of fun the mud was real bad in some spots jeffs bike got stuck I fell and everyone that rides with me knows I don't fall my left leg got crushed and my right leg got 3rd degree burns Yes i am wining. Maverick ran my sister of the trail into waist high water and Jeff #2 took us Treaspassing through sticker bushes we came back all messed up and Yes i said we had a lot of fun HaHa! The food has been so good.

Well i am having a hard time getting pic.up so as soon as i get the right connection i will post them.

This morning jeff got up early before the roster started crowing and went fishing my sister came out and asked if he caught any and he of course said "NO" she threw her line in and boom fish so i come down a little later because the roster woke me up and boom Fish. Jeff was alittle upset. Stephanie and Makailey went around the pond and caught some bait and then went in and had some fresh layed eggs and gritts Yum.

Makailey is having a hard time like usual with all the animals having to sleep outside. She has trained the puppy pretty good so it can be good and They will let them sleep inside. poor makailey. Maddy caught a fish while i was gone this afternoon Dad not so happy. We are having "FRESH" cut steaks tonight and some catfish Yum!

We r in Mississippi now the kids were up at 6 am with the roosters and feeding the chickens. then off to the pond with there fishing poles. Then the bikes came out of the trailer and they were off into the woods. Makiley was riding in her bathing suit. HaHa!! Jeff went fishing a couple of times and then in the late afternoon we all went out there and i caught 3 fish in a row little bass and jeff has caught nothing HaHa he is going to try in the morning.

This is my Grandmas house and my "house" for a couple of days i love the south power poles in every yard.

Baby Christy loved the flash in the cammera. That little house is my great grandmas house. Maddy picking out worms for the fishing pole. Her father would never do that.

Well let the Family bonding begin we spent the day just Talking and laughing. It was so hot and not one of the great aunts believe in AC so we sat on porches just fanning the sweat. But loved every minute of it. The kids did a little fishing Maverick and Steaphine took a little boat into the swamp. Mave anted to see a snake and out comes a snake swimming towards them. He was so excited. Destanie and Makailey are having so much fun. They said they have something planned for every hour. Madison loved everyone thinking she was me. She decided to go home with maw-maw and paw-paw. Bridgette is coming tomorrow. Can't wait to see her.

We made it to Lousiana Home sweet home DAMN IT IS HOT!!!!!!! Hopefully we will be at maw-maws in a couple of hours. So excited. We haven't heard "ARE WE THERE YET" but they do ask hom many more hours till this place or what mile marker is the next stop and they follow it on the map. So much easier than when they were little=).

Well this morining didn't go so well another blowout on the other side same spot same time as the day before. This time AAA wasn't as helpful Arizona dispatch much nicer than Texas but we got it resolved and 3 1/2 hours larter we were on the road. We ended up making the kids go sit outside the moho since we were so close to the road and instead of making a big deal the turned into a game and tried to get all the truckers to honk. It was fun to watch. Jeff pulled the beach umbrella out and our chairs so i am sure we were a site to see. HaHa. So back on the road we could see ahead and there looked like a big rain storm. The winds were so crazy it made our awning come loose. so over we pulled and in the hard pelting rain we has to fix it. We made it through and so far so good the rest of the day.

Good Morning. Well yesterday was long. After the blowout we drove straight through with nothing much the check engine light kept popping on so that was a little scary but we put some more transmission fluid in and it never came back on so all was good. The kids r doing o.k. We told them the ride home won't be like this. We r trying to get to my grandmas house by Sat. Morning. Drive,drive,drive. I pre-made some dinners i could stick in the oven but we Have been on the hunt for propane and Water since we left Cali. Microwave had to do. stopped outside of las cruces New Mexico and slept with the roadrunners.

Well that didn't last long 9:00 and AAA on there way.

Good Morning all! Day 2 still feels like day 1. We drove through the night well jeff drove. Only one stop for the Moho. 6% grade for about 40 miles made the new brakes smoke a little, got jeffs heart going but gave him enough adrenaline to push farther. The 8 was down to a shared 2 lane for East and West so glad we did that at night. 4 am came realy fast and jeff needed some sleep, we pulled into a "Rest Parking" it will work. We didn't close the blinds since it was so dark out, bad idea the hot Arizona sun woke us up 2 hrs later. SUCKS! Jeff slept for another hour while i made coffee and pancakes. Back Moterhoming by 7:30 can't wait to see where the day takes us.

The Motte's are on the road. We have officaly began our trip we planned on leaving at 3 but got on the road at 10. Not to bad we won't hit any traffic. HA HA. The kids are in the back bedroom watching a movie. Jeff and I can actually talk and hear eachother since we got the exaust leak fixed. There is now a high pitch squeal that we think was probally always ther we just couldn't hear over the engine. It is a bit chilly but we know it will probally be the last time we say that for awhile so we will enjoy. Good Night

This is our first Blog together as a family. We decided to do this so you our friends and family can follow us along our journeys. Beginning with this first crazy trip.

With a pre-teen that just loves to be with her brother and sister, a 8 year old ADHD little girl and a 7 year old boy that just wants to know when we are going to use his dirt bike. Oh and our furry baby that has to sit on her dads lap when we drive. We are planning a cross country trip in our Motor Home in the middle of the heat. Our departure date is June 16th 2010 and a return date of July 18th. The count down has began. Our first Major destination will be a straight shot to Louisiana hopefully by the 19th of June to celebrate Old Maw-Maws 80th Birthday. Once there we will be heading to Poplarvile, Mississippi to stay with the family for about a week and then hopefully up to Tennessee,Arkansas,Colorado and Utah.
